The wedding rehearsal

After 5+ years of dating, and 2 years of engagement, Steve and Magda's big weekend was finally here!

The rehearsal was Friday afternoon. After accidentally getting lost in some questionable neighborhoods, we found our way to the church...which was entirely worth the detour. St. Florian is in Hamtramck, the traditionally Polish section of Detroit, and was built in the late 1920's. You really feel like you are in an old European church, it is very ornate and enormous...it was a perfect choice for their wedding!

After the rehearsal we went back to check into the hotel, and kick back for a bit. Dinner was at the Hockeytown Cafe, right across from Tiger stadium...a fitting locale since Steve and Magda are such big sports fans. Dean (Jim and Steve's dad) made an awesome photo slide show and it played throughout dinner. Dinner was super casual and fun, and was followed by a Tiger game. Steve gave Charlie his ticket and Charlie loved it - he immediately ate it. Yum :)

I went back to the hotel with my parents, the gracious babysitters, to put Charlie to bed and make my way back to the game. But his first time in a hotel must have been too exciting since Charlie didn't go down until the start of the 9th inning. Needless to say, I missed the game. But, Jim had a great time and took tons of pictures - Paws the Tiger mascot came and congratulated the happy couple and they even made it onto the scoreboard. (Thanks to the connections of groomsman Gabe.) The game was followed by fireworks...not your average rehearsal dinner!

There are too many photos to upload, so check out everything for yourself at Snapfish.
