Michigan vacation and much more!

Sorry it's been a while since we've posted. We've caught some slack from loyal blog watchers, but I promise an overload of pictures and stories coming up in the next few days! We rolled in very late last night, and are in the process of catching our breath from about a week and half of fun and chaos in Michigan.

Steve and Magda are officially married now and it was an amazing wedding! They are currently on holiday in Japan and Thailand. (Poor kids ;) Other than all the wedding events, we spent time with family and friends and tried to relax a little. Unfortunately, our time felt rushed and we didn't have the chance to see nearly as many people as we would have liked. Also, Jim has been under a big deadline at work and had to spend almost every day (other than the wedding weekend) at his computer and on conference calls. Not much of a vacation for him!

Regardless, it was great to be home and have the chance to show Michigan to Charlie, and vice versa. He got to spend lots of time with the grandparents, and had many firsts: car ride through 6 states, wedding, hotel, beach, art museum, Zingerman's, Blimpy Burger, etc. (Too bad for Charlie, he did not get to enjoy the food...)

Jim and I snuck off for a date towards the end of the trip and had a nice dinner at Real Seafood...we had oysters, escargot swimming in garlic butter, and some nice seared tuna. We also got carded! The waiter was either trying to flatter us, or must not have noticed the wrinkles and dark circles under our eyes. It was a nice way to end the trip :)
