Nerd alert

Here we were, just hanging out in Charlie's room a few days ago. He loves his robot hat, and we love that he loves his robot hat. To us, it's a perfect hybrid of cute and dorky. Just like him ;)

Speaking of dorky, I just discovered "Nerd Flashcards" in a catalog and can't get my hands on them fast enough. They aren't your typical ABC's; A is for Atom, N is for Neuron, R is for Rhombus, etc. Perfect for the boy who at age 8 months, already owns his first microscope. Yup, and it's orange! (Gotta love consignment sales.) Don't worry, we aren't going to torture the poor kid...secretly, these things are for us. Did you know that brine shrimp breathe through their legs, and spiders eat their webs and digest them to make new ones? The microscope told us. We have a lot to learn evidently!
