Easter in DC

Yes, we admit it. We missed the cherry blossoms (and most major sites) out of laziness. The crowds were crazy all weekend, it was like Christmas shopping on steroids. The highlight was seeing Uncle Steve and Aunt Magda and Magda's family...and brunch at our favorite (hole in the wall) brunch restaurant. Any meal that combines scrambled eggs, crab legs, waffles, leg of lamb, carrot cake, macaroni and cheese, bacon, stuffed peppers, biscuits and bloody Mary's is a winner in our book. Thankfully, we have strong stomachs.

At the restaurant, Charlie enjoyed a visit from a giant roaming pink Easter bunny who gave him a Hershey's kiss. He played with it through brunch, and tried to eat the little paper tag. We thoroughly enjoyed the moment. Before long, he's going to know the delicious flavors that lurk under the silver foil and our lives will never be the same...
