To celebrate the occasion, we are having a few people over to gorge on homemade ravioli - Jim's grandma's famous and beloved recipe. This is the ravioli to which Jim compares all others. When we were in Italy a few years ago, he ordered ravioli at almost every restaurant and declared that only one came somewhat close to Grandma's...but wasn't quite as good.
No pressure!
So to prepare, we have had several late nights here at the Wise house - making ravioli into the wee hours. And while we were without Grandma's trusty ravioli rolling pin, and exact measurements, I think we adjusted adequately. After the first batch we tasted a few...and Jim, with a saucy grin, officially declared them to be "pretty good". I think I will call that a success!
