Nap schmap

Today I spent the majority of the morning/ early afternoon trying to get Charlie to nap (because I read that we're supposed to).  The past few days have been much of the same.  It's pretty draining and not much fun for either of us...I don't let him cry, but rock him, walk around, put on white noise, etc. Anyway, he sleeps at most for 30-45 minutes in the morning.  Afternoon naps are hit or miss. I tried again after lunch and it was a no-go, he was obviously tired but fussed if put down.  Finally I gave up and decided just to play with him...what do you know, all smiles!  We had a good hour of fun and now he is sleeping soundly next to me, going down on his own.   Hmmm...
